Václav Mrázek
Václav Mrázek (October 22, 1925 - December 30, 1957, Prague) was a Czech serial killer who was convicted of murdering seven people. All of his victims were women. His murders (or attempted murders) were primarily sexually motivated, although he also burgled his victims' homes. Besides murders, he was convicted of 127 other crimes.
Despite being searched for in relation to the murders in the Chomutov region (where he committed most of his crimes), he evaded capture for a long time. He was convicted and sentenced to death in 1957, the same year he was captured and he was executed on December 30, 1957 in Pankrác Prison.
== Childhood ==
Václav Mrázek was born in a small village of Svinařov as one of 12 children. His father was a miner, who was also a binge drinker and used to beat both his wife and the children. Often hungry at home, Mrázek started stealing from an early age, encouraged by his mother.
